What is a half-sour pickle?
As with
sour pickles,
half-sour pickles are fermented in a salt brine.
The difference is that the brine contains less salt. The fermentation is faster.
While sour pickles take weeks to cure (
Sechler's
cures them for even months for superb quality),
your half-sour pickles are ready in days. And, of course, half-sour pickles are
less sour.
