Texan Pickles: Hill Country Homestyle Canning

Hill Country Homestyle Canning is a family business run by descendants of German immigrants who founded Fredericksburg, Texas, in 1846.

Their pickles present the best of both German and Texan pickling traditions.

Dill Pickles - Six Varieties:

Dill Pickles - Your old fashioned dill pickle.
Hot Dill Pickles - old fashioned dill pickles with red hot peppers.
Garlic Dill Pickles - old fashioned dill pickles with garlic.
Hot Garlic Dill Pickles - old fashioned dill pickles with red hot peppers and garlic.
Habanero Dill Pickles - old fashioned dill pickles with Habanero Peppers. On a heat scale, Habaneros are a ten. They are considered one of the hottest chilies in the world.
Bread and Butter Pickles - A blend of cucumbers, onions and spices. A sweet flavor that is great with fish, pork, hamburgers.
Sweet Dill Pickles - It is a sliced dill pickle with spices and sugar added to give it a very unique favor. The Sweet Dill Pickle is a very crunchy and tasty treat and is great by itself or on your favorite sandwich.

Pickled Okra - Five Varieties:

Dill Okra - Your old fashioned dill okra.
Hot Dill Okra - old fashioned dill okra with red hot peppers.
Garlic Dill Okra - old fashioned dill okra with garlic.
Hot Garlic Okra - old fashioned dill okra with red hot peppers and garlic.
Habanero Dill Okra - old fashioned dill pickles with Habanero Peppers. Because of the thick skin of the okra, the Habanero okra does not get as hot as the Habanero pickle.

Pickled Garlic - Three Varieties:

Plain Pickled Garlic
Hot Pickled Garlic - The Hot Pickled Garlic has red hot peppers added for a mildly hot flavor.
Habanero Pickled Garlic - The Habanero Pickled Garlic has Habanero peppers added for a hotter, zestier taste.

Jalapeno Peppers - Four Varieties:

Mild Jalapeno Peppers - Our Crunchy Mild Jalapenos are made with fresh Tam Jalapeno peppers, a special variety of Jalapenos of a wonderful crisp taste with a smaller portion of heat.
Hot Jalapeno Peppers - Our Crunchy Hot Jalapeno Peppers are made with your regular hot Jalapeno peppers. You will get a wonderful hot robust flavor that will leave your mouth watering for more.
Mild Bread and Butter Jalapenos - A special blend of Tam Jalapenos blended with onions and spices for an outstanding combination. Our Mild Bread and Butter Jalapenos can be used as a condiment or as a garnish. You will find that they are excellent to eat on hamburgers, hot dogs, baked potatoes, pork or just right out of the bottle with a fork.
Hot Bread and Butter Jalapenos - A zesty blend of Jalapenos along with onions and special spices blended together for an outstanding product. If you like to eat regular hot jalapenos you MUST give these a try. Our Hot Bread and Butter Jalapenos are great as condiment or as a garnish.

Our Pickled Carrots are made from crunchy baby carrots. These carrots are great as a snack by themselves or as a crunchy side for your salad.

Sauerkraut - We use fine cut cabbage with a blend of caraway seed and spices for a homestyle taste of sauerkraut that is sauer. That is why it is called SAUERKRAUT.
Hot Sauerkraut - The Hot Sauerkraut has a blend of red pepper and spices for a sauer taste with a little kick.
