In 1896 August-Karl Kruegermann started the Kruegermann Pickle and Sauerkraut company.
This 1929 picture shows workers sorting cucumbers in the Kruegermann factory yard.
Located in the Spreewald town of Luebbenau, Kruegermann found itself in Soviet-occupied East Germany.
In 1961 the communists took control of the family business and Kurt Kruegermann fled to
Los Angeles, where he and his wife Helga started a new
Kruegermann company
from scratch. The combination of the
Kruegermann family recipes with first class California cucumbers is simply unbeatable!
